Although it feels like it was Christmas yesterday, we’re a third of the way through 2022 already… Here at All Seasons Paving, we’ve been non-stop busy since the start of the year and we wanted to share some of the projects we’ve got through so far for 2022. We’ve been installing everything from block paving and tarmac to resin driveways. Classic driveways to really unique jobs and small projects to huge ones. All of the driveways and patios we complete do have one thing in common though – they all look amazing and are made with really high quality materials. So, let’s get into 2022 so far for the All Seasons Paving team…

Starting off strong, the team travelled to Penwortham to complete the first job of the year consisting of a beautiful spring haze resin bound driveway. We installed a tarmac base layer during the installation process followed by the resin – spring haze is a great colour that really complements the house nicely.

 
Our second job of the year included a pop of colour – a sleek red to be exact, we really enjoyed installing this driveway, it looked really unique and the customer was over the moon with the end result. A red resin driveway installation also in Penwortham, see the pictures below.

 
 
Moving on, here’s a fantastic overlay tarmac driveway installation our team completed in Ashton, Preston. We believe tarmac looks great for a driveway – it’s a classic choice for a reason. Nice to look at and easy to maintain.

 
 
Next up is another tarmac driveway. This time, it’s got a matching block border and is complete with an Indian sandstone path with block border and acco drains. As you can see, the tarmac, sandstone and blocks all go really well together and create a lovely looking driveway. The tarmac driveway with a matching block border is a really popular choice with our customers – you’re combining the classic tarmac with a frame that really brings it all together.

The next job you might think is also tarmac, however, this is a jet black resin driveway laid over and existing tarmac driveway the team installed in January. The customer wanted to create a low impact new driveway and not stand out from the surrounding driveways. We received a lovely review from the customer on Google after this one was complete – “We had a black resin driveway completed. It only took one afternoon to complete and we are very happy with the results – it looks so much better than tarmac. The team did an excellent job, were very organised and professional. We plan to get them back to do a resin pathway for us next year.”

 
 
Nearing the end of January, we headed to Leyland, Lancashire, to install this gorgeous Tobermore Sienna graphite with a silver border. Big project for us with a ton of before, during and after pictures. This light colour of block paving looks amazing and the customer was really happy with the outcome – just read the review he left us after we finished, “Great Job, great customer focus from William,Mark & Team”.

 
 
Another one from the end of January, the All Seasons Paving team completed a beautiful block paving driveway in Tobermore Shannon Heather with a golden set border. We left this one 80% finished to leave room for the builders, ready to complete an extension once the builders have finished on the house.

 
 
Next up, in February, we headed to Wesham, Lancashire, to install a beautiful Indian sandstone patio and block paving driveway extension. These two materials pair extremely well together and completely transform the outside of this house. A sleek grey patio alongside a vibrant red driveway, a great match.

After a few more jobs in February, at the start of March, our team received a job for a huge driveway and patio transformation in Little Hoole, Lancashire. The team got to work in laying down a porcelain patio, 600 x 1200 flags and 300 sq m of gravel all edge in 2 rows of setts. Just look at how fantastic this driveway and patio looks – the team really enjoyed completing this job and of course, the customer enjoyed the end result even more.

Well it’s been a few months since my first blog and that’s purely because after a very normal start to the year in January and February, it has gone mad!

People seem less concerned with the outcome of Brexit, which I, and many others in the building industry, feel was exasperating the decision making process, and making choices for homeowners harder. This coupled with the very mild/good weather for the time of year has sent the phone and e-mail into overdrive! Spring is often associated with home improvements, renovations and rejuvenating interiors, gardens and outdoor spaces.  

Everybody seemingly needs a new driveway or patio, which is fabulous news. We are currently taking bookings approximately 8-10 weeks in advance, but do plan to add some additional staff to lighten the load if possible. Although our workload is busy, the quality of the job that we deliver doesn’t suffer, as you can see from this patio we completed in Cottam, Preston. This space, complete with artificial grass, will see a lot of use over the summer months and in the future. Easy to maintain and look after, you can host family and friends without worry.

Earlier this month, I was out for Sunday lunch with the family, and we drove past this car park we installed at the Lancaster barn B&B about 18 months ago. As you can see from the picture above, it still looks amazing. Installed in Marshalls Tegula drivesett harvest, this block paving design has a gorgeous ‘distressed’ look, that appears naturally ‘aged’ and oozes with quality. Having been installed by our specialist craftsmen, and obviously being well looked after by the owners, this block paving installation will continue to look awesome for years and years to come.

Hi everyone, my name is William Mason and I am the founder and owner of All Seasons Paving. Firstly, please let me wish you all a happy new year and I hope everyone had a great Christmas.

Ok now for the “blog”. Please forgive me if this isn’t as good as it should be, as it’s my first attempt and something new for 2019. For those of you who are visiting the website for the first time, we are a driveway and patio company working in the Lancashire area, with offices in Preston and Morecambe. We specialise in domestic work but also undertake commercial projects when we can fit them in. We are affiliated with the Lancashire trading standards ” safe trader scheme”, and are also a Marshalls accredited contractor, and Tobermore approved installer. We currently have 8 employees and operate a fleet of all our own plant machinery and wagons. This ensures that our work is done to the highest standard as well as in a prompt and well-organised fashion. 

November and December were particularly busy months this year with a very high workload for the time of year. This was probably due to the mild weather and because I had booked up a lot of work in the months prior. Let’s have a look at some of the jobs done in this period. Firstly, we undertook a large lift and relay in Morecambe using Marshalls coppice block paving which is a new block and is very contemporary and modern in its dimensions texture and colour way. This was the first time we had used this block, so I was keen to do the job and share it with everyone. The picture below is an overhead photo taken so that you guys can see the full extent of the work.  

Also in December, we installed a very precise installation of a framed tarmac driveway in Ashton Preston. Our customer was unsure of exactly how he wanted the border to look so we gave him various options, (while on site installing the frame), to help him get exactly what he wanted. The installation consisted of using Tobermore Pedesta block paving in Bracken and Slate and Cemex SMA macadam. This is a high strength, commercial quality tarmac that will ensure that this driveway on Blackpool Road, Preston will last for many a year, and will provide a very low maintenance driveway for our customer.

And finally, I would like to share with you an amazing Porcelain patio installation that we undertook in Penwortham, using Global stone Anthracite Porcelain flags finished with a granite sett border. We also installed a high-quality wooden fence with wooden posts, gravel boards, and carried out extensive drainage work which needed to be done. The transformation of this space is amazing. The ‘finished’ photo was sent to me by a very happy customer who couldn’t wait to get his new patio furniture on it, who could blame him! Let’s hope we have as a good a summer as last year so that he and his wife get maximum use from this fantastic, relaxing, family-friendly space.
